**OVERVIEW**

**CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS**
- Diploma or higher education related to environmental sciences, biology, hydrogeology, geology, or other related discipline
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of environmental work experience with experience in:

- Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments
- Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments
- Remediation
- Groundwater monitoring
- Reclamation
- Reclamation Assessments
- Experience writing and reviewing reports for technical accuracy
- Working knowledge of and ability to interpret environmental regulations, guidelines and standards
- Excellent communication and technical reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Professional designation applicable for conducting professional sign off in British Columbia is an asset
- Project management experience is an asset (cost estimates, scheduling, budget tracking, client communication)

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for project coordination, cost control and project scoping to ensure effectively versatile solutions are developed to meet client’s regulatory needs and budgets
- Prepare various environmental reports for all scopes of work, including, but not limited to, Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, Detailed Site Assessments, Spill Assessments and Remediations
- Active stewardship of Vertex and client safety programs is expected
- Responsible to build relationships within Vertex, with regulators and clients to effectively develop and manage projects within the environmental business unit
- Mentor and coach junior environmental staff

**LOCATION**

This position will be based out of Fort St. John, British Columbia or Sherwood Park, Alberta
