In addition, to providing the finest protein products available, our goal is to strengthen the connection between producers and consumers. We want to foster a deep understanding amongst chefs, retailers, restaurants and consumers and the local farms that provide our products. We believe that people should know where their food is coming from, and that it was produced ethically and naturally.

JOB REQUIREMENT:
We require a person who is passionate about the meat and food industry and is a true team-player, self-starter and views hard work as a challenge and the path to excellence.

A day at our full service production facility can consist of Craft-butchery, specialty sausage making, packing orders and retail cutting for some of BC’s most progressive purveyors of naturally raised meats. Only those who are enthusiastic and want to grow with a great, opportunistic company need apply. Position is morning shift - 7:00am - 3:30pm (M - F) in our Sausage Department.

SKILL REQUIREMENT:
Skills required are:

- Meets the physical requirements of the job.
- Willing to training to use various food manufacturing equipment - example - meat grinder, meat stuffer, burger patty machine.
- The ability to follow clear, concise directions and follow a recipe.
- Knife skills, cutting skills and great attention to detail, organization and cleanliness.
- Industry experience in either food preparation, sausage making, or butchery is preferred.
- Food Safe Certification is preferred.
- Strong work ethic combined with the ability to lead others and work independently, quickly and efficiently.
