The Country Hills Kumon centre located in Calgary NW is seeking an Advanced Math Teaching Assistant. Kumon is the world's largest supplemental education company. We offer after-school math and reading programs to children K-12. Our mission is to offer a fun and motivational environment for our students so that learning becomes enjoyable and every student can reach their maximum potential.
We are looking for an individual to work up to 4 evenins per week in an educational setting. The teaching assistant will be working and interacting with students between grade 1-12. Duties wil include marking homework and classwork, guiding students on our math questions (up to university Math levels) and assisting may include lesson planning in the future. Other duties will include assisting students with questions, general office tasks and housekeeping chores.
**Requirements**:
Must be focused, diligent, and enjoy working with children
Outgoing and service oriented personality.
Energetic & proactive (ability to work well under pressure & multitask).
Punctual, well organized, detailed oriented, and reliable.
Must be respectful and polite, show professionalism, punctuality, and a willingness to learn.
Previous tutoring experiences highly desirable.
Preferred availability : Mon - Thurs 3:30pm - 7:30pm
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
