Analytical Development Associate

**Job Description Summary**:

Grow your scientific career as an Analytical Development Associate at STEMCELL Technologies, Canada's largest biotechnology company In this role you will work collaboratively with Process Development, Research and Development, and Quality Control on the characterization of protein raw materials, cell culture media, and cell separation products. This is an opportunity to refine your laboratory skills by working with a variety of analytical and biochemical techniques. **Duties and Responsibilities**
- Perform characterization and quantitation of various proteins, including antibodies, for STEMCELL’s raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
- Contribute to the development and validation of new qualitative and quantitative analytical methods, with a focus on chromatography, mass spectrometry, and protein binding assays
- Create and maintain high quality documentation of analytical methods, results, and reports to stakeholders
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to develop strategies to improve product quality, yield, and margin
- Support laboratory upkeep and safety, including ordering reagents and consumables

**Knowledge and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field with up to 2 years of relevant laboratory experience in protein analysis
- Experience in analytical characterization of proteins using chromatography, mass spectrometry, capillary electrophoresis, ELISA, BLI, SPR, or related techniques
- Knowledge of cGMP and/or ISO regulations and experience in characterization of antibody structure and function is an asset
- Familiarity with Empower, UNIFI, MASCOT, R, Google Suite and related software is an asset
- Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills, ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and excellent written and oral communication skills
