**Position**:Iron Worker / Cladder - On Site - Nalunaq Gold Mine, Shift - 21 / 14 rotation, 4 - 6-month contract.

**Job Location**:The Nalunaq gold mine is located 30 km northeast of Nanortalik, Greenland’s 10th largest town with a population of approximately 1,350.

Travel to and from the site provided by the company. This project site is a dormitory-style camp complex - Accommodation and meals are provided.

**The job responsibilities are outlined as follows**:
**IRON WORKER**:

- Lifting and guiding components into position with tower or hydraulic cranes
- Working from mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs - boom lifts or scissor lifts) to the structure
- Working on the structure itself at heights beyond the reach of MEWPs
- Installing fiberglass insulation and metal cladding on walls and roofs of structures
- Installing Rigging
- Hoisting steel, attach cables and/or slings to each piece using levels, transits and laser equipment.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Following all safety requirements of both the company and the project site

Reporting any unsafe working conditions

**CLADDING**:

- Metal roof systems i.e. standing seam and screw-fastened
- Install air and vapor barriers
- Install fiberglass insulation on metal cladding on walls and roof of structures
- Roof and wall cladding retro-fit assemblies
- Install, repair, or replace standing seam metal roofs.
- Install sheet metal flashings.
- Install pre-insulated metal foam panel systems.
- Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
- Install primers, sub girts, flashing, and caulking
- Maintain organization of tools and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Follow directions from the Site Supervisor
- Follow all safety requirements of both the company and the project site
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Must have a Canadian Passport - must be held with expiry on/ or about the end of next year
- 2-3 years of experience in Ironworking / Cladding with Pre-Engineered buildings or conventional steel, ability to follow engineering instructions and plans accurately
- Ability to follow engineering instructions and plans accurately
- Physically fit to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to work in a team environment
- High awareness of health and safety practices
- Able to understand and follow instructions
- Working at Heights training and Elevated Work Platform tickets are required
- Forklift Operator ticket is considered an asset
- WHMIS is required

**Salary Range**: $TBA per hour, depends on experience.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3-5 months

**Salary**: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
