Support Worker

Peter's Place is a brain injury treatment facility providing physical and cognitive rehabilitation for persons living with acquired brain injury; dedicated to enhancing the independence and quality of life for people living with an Acquired Brain Injury.
As an ABI Support Worker with Peter's Place, your role will be in providing support to residents and their families that need assistance recovering from traumatic / non-traumatic brain injury. Your job will be to assist individuals with their daily routines, including preparing meals, maintaining personal hygiene, running errands, monitoring medication and recovery, and informal counseling support.
You will be required to work with a team and independently.
This unique opportunity allows you to make a difference to those who need ongoing assistance whether it is in our residential treatment facility setting or in the comfort of clients home.
Skill Requirements: Since this a specialized treatment facility, it is not a requirement to have any formal training. The company will provide on-site training of the core competencies required to do the job.
Education: Completion of High School Diploma as a minimum.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: We are seeking individuals who are reliable, compassionate, caring, dedicated and good communicators who can make a positive contribution to people living with acquired brain injury. On a daily basis, you will have to make decisions, which will require strong critical thinking skills.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Attention to detail.
**Valid drivers license is essential**.

**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
