Bookkeeper Job Description

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate and complete financial records for the company
- Perform account reconciliations and analysis
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
- Prepare and file tax returns
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning
- Conduct bank reconciliations
- Write financial reports for management review
- Utilize technical accounting skills to ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Proficiency in 10-key typing and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong understanding of governmental accounting standards and regulations
- Experience with account reconciliation, payroll processing, tax preparation, and financial report writing
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
