**Job description**

CropMaxx Inc. is a locally owned, expanding Crop Inputs retail and we are currently seeking an experienced Sales Agronomist.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Explain options for crop inputs - fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, canola, and forage seed.
- Interpret soil, tissue and water analysis.
- Scout production fields for weed and insect problems as well as overall crop health.
- Provide valuable and timely service as well as agronomic information and advice to current and potential customers.
- Pricing, sales and inventory management of crop protection products.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Coordinate delivery and customer pick up of products.
- Implement strategies to promote products and services.
- Maintain and analyze a database/record of customer profiles (product usage and service requirements) to identify, categorize, and prioritize customer base.
- Review customer accounts to ensure that payments are within the approved credit policy and perform collection functions as required. Ensure adequate credit is in place.
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding annual goals.

**Qualifications**:

- Agriculture based degree or diploma, Agri-Business Certificate, or equivalent post-secondary education.
- 3 years + Agronomy experience preferred, but not mandatory.
- Professional conduct.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Strong self-motivation.
- Excellent communication and people skills, both written and oral.
- Strong computer skills, familiar with Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Sales experience an asset but not required.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed.
- Knowledge of the trading area and local farmers would be an asset.
- Valid class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract.

**LOCATED IN WESTLOCK, AB**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Agronomy: 2 years (preferred)
