**Who You Are**:
Are you passionate about serving older adults in the community? Have a deep understanding of how important social recreational support is to overall health? Then this opportunity is for you SLEC is seeking creative, motivated activity professionals to join our team

**What You Will Do**:
Reporting to the Program Coordinator and according to established expectations for service excellence consistent with SLEC's Policies and Procedures, Activity Assistants work as part of the team to:

- Plan, implement and participate in a variety of therapeutic, social and recreational activities to meet the needs of clients
- Assists clients in performing Activities of Daily Living
- Client care planning and documentation
- Communicate effectively with the team members, clients, volunteers and caregivers

**What You Bring to the Team**:

- Diploma or certificate in recreation, social service worker, personal support worker or equivalent
- Minimum one year previous experience in a related health field
- Passion & focus on the person centred approach

**What Will Set You Apart**:

- Previous work experience in the Gerontology field
- Gentle Persuasive Approach Certificate
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Safe Food Handling Certificate
