**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The Press Set-up Operator will set up and operate all stamping presses, mechanical & servo, running transfer & progressive jobs ranging from 160 to 630 tons. The Press Set-up Operator will operate the equipment safely and consistently while meeting all productivity & quality standards set forth by Omex Manufacturing ULC.

DUTIES OF THE JOB:

- Set-up and operate automated transfer & progressive tooling across various press lines.
- Utilize the overhead crane to stage material & for coil replacement.
- Create first-off / last-off parts.
- Problem solves and/or troubleshoots automation and tooling issues as they arise.
- Follow tooling-specific work instructions and verbal directions to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
- Complete quality inspections at predetermined intervals using calibrated fixtures and devices.
- Ensure only quality parts are accepted and notify supervision and quality of any quality-related issues immediately.
- Complete all necessary documentation: machine safety check sheets, validation check sheets, set-up sheets, quality inspections, production reporting, etc.
- Operate the equipment safely and consistently with the company policies, rules, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Omex Manufacturing ULC Code of Conduct.
- Maintain a tidy and organized area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Previous experience in related role in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum three (3) months experience as a level 3 machine operator, not currently on probation.
- Level 3 or 4 Draw & Roll Lines Setup-Operators, preferred.
- Working knowledge of the procedures & systems used by Omex Manufacturing ULC.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks repeatedly, including lifting (minimum 50lbs), grabbing, manipulating, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Record of reliability & dependability (quality, safety & attendance).
- Analytical, mechanical thinking.
- Proficient with ShopEdge & Core Documents at an operator level.

**COMPENSATION**:

- Starting hourly rate $24.10
- Hourly rate at a year $26.24
- Shift Premium - $1.00 per hr. Afternoons
- Overtime pay after 40 hours
