This position has no set schedule, casual call‑ins

This position will involve working the day, evening, weekend shifts. The shift is not to be interpreted as a guarantee.

Under the direction of the Manager OR, the OR Attendant (ORAT) will function as an integral part of the

Perioperative Team to ensure an optimal Perioperative patient experience. The ORAT will consult with the team to

ensure organized and timely delivery of supplies and equipment to the OR suite as required.

Efficient and quality room changeover service for the OR suite is an expectation as well as patient transfers within

the service, care and handling of specimens, obtaining blood products and patient positioning for prepping and

draping. This position also requires the skills and knowledge to maintain a safe, clean work environment.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:

- Minimum Grade 12 Education

Skills/Abilities:

- Knowledge of Medical terminology, particularly as it applies to the Perioperative setting
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of aseptic technique, infection control and universal precautions
- Ability to prioritize work, work with mínimal supervision and accept responsibility for quality of work
- Dexterity in care and handling of fragile equipment and instrumentation.

Salary Range: $25.550 to 25.981
