**Position Overview**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Drying Technician to join our team at Canstar Restorations. As a Structural Drying Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring properties affected by water damage, using specialized equipment and techniques to dry structures and prevent further damage.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assess water damage and develop drying plans to ensure efficient restoration
- Set up and operate drying equipment, such as dehumidifiers and air movers
- Monitor and adjust drying processes to achieve optimal results
- Conduct regular moisture readings and document progress
- Collaborate with project managers and technicians to ensure effective restoration
- Maintain equipment and vehicles in good working order
- Follow safety protocols and industry standards
**Health and Safety**
- Ensure that self and others adhere to Canstar’s health and safety practices and procedures
- Ensure good housekeeping is kept to perform work safely and efficiently
- Understand safety policies and protocols
- Ensure that self and others on site are wearing all required PPE, when required
**Who we are looking for**:
- 1-2 years of experience in structural drying or a related field
- IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) certification
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in challenging environments
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software
- Knowledge of building construction and materials
- Additional IICRC certifications (e.g., Water Damage Restoration, Applied Microbial Remediation)
