**Propak Systems Ltd.** is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking **Machinists (2**nd** or 3**rd** Year Apprentice) **to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set-up and operate precision metal cutting and grinding machines such as lathes, mills, drills and grinders to make and repair products
- Study specifications, charts, drawings or sample parts to determine the machining operation to be performed.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances, and prepare working sketches if necessary.
- Measure and mark metal and other materials.
- Set-up and operate tools, which may be computer numerically controlled, to perform precision machining operations.
- Fit parts to mechanisms and verify dimensions.

Qualifications:

- Be a registered apprentice at either 2nd or 3rd year level
- 2+ years of directly related work experience
- CNC Programming experience is an asset.
- Motivated and willing to learn.
- As a condition of employment, employees are required, upon hire, to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.
