We are seeking an _**Addiction Support Worker (Casual, On-Call) **_ to assist our in-house treatment center team and clients during the weekend, with possibility of other shifts on an as-needed basis. The weekend shifts are either 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. The overnight shift is a sleep shift, where you can sleep from 12 midnight until 6am. **What will you do?** - Assist our treatment team and clients in our in-house treatment facility by offering support and engaging clients in various treatment activities. - Answer phone calls and respond to messages from prospective clients, families, and community workers. - Support clients with their medication needs as per program protocols. - Clean and prepare vacant rooms for new move-ins. - Prepare and cook meals in partnership with clients, following safe food handling protocols. - Make regular rounds of the facility. - Administrative duties as required by the counsellors. **What qualifications do you need to have?** - A diploma in social work, addictions, mental health, counselling, or equivalent. - 1-3 years experience preferably in an in-house treatment setting. - Experience working within the addictions sector. - Vulnerable Sector Check from the Ottawa Police Service **What makes you stand out?** - Certificate in First Aid/CPR/AED - ASIST Training - Personal lived experience **What can you expect?** - A positive workplace. - To work independently. **Job Type**: Casual Pay: $21.00 per hour Schedule: - 12 hour shift - Day shift - Holidays - Night shift - On call - Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
