This position has the primary responsibility of supervising the daily operations of the reception team and school store in Edmonton. Key responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining inventory, and upholding the store's appearance. Additionally, the position requires ensuring exceptional customer service for students and clients attending the college.

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following):

- Overseeing the smooth and efficient functioning of the reception area on a daily basis, ensuring that all operational aspects meet established standards
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions to equip reception team with the necessary skills and knowledge, while also providing ongoing supervision to maintain high performance levels.
- Take charge of the onboarding process for new staff members joining the reception team, offering thorough orientation to familiarize them with their roles and responsibilities
- Coordinate schedules and staffing arrangements to accommodate business needs and ensure continuous coverage of the reception area
- Manage and approve employee schedules within the HRIS system
- Possess a strong knowledge of the products available in our school store, including their features, pricing, and benefits
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process by assisting in the screening of applicants, conducting interviews, and providing input to hiring decisions for receptionist positions
- Oversee team members' performance, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, while also aligning their efforts with departmental goals.
- Guide individuals in identifying areas for development and implementing strategies for improvement
- Maintain adherence to inventory control procedures to uphold accuracy, and minimize discrepancies, while managing inventory levels efficiently and initiating replenishment orders as required
- Oversee the movement of inventory between campuses
- Collaborate with other departments to address any reception-related issues or concerns

Education and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a reception supervisor or management role, preferably in an educational setting
- Previous experience in inventory management or related field
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team
