We are seeking a team member to join our established practice to offer Mental Health support to our community.

In early 2022 we introduced Mental Health Counselling and Support to our clinic. We had an MSW with a strong interest in Wellness and Mindfulness join our team and her practice grew rapidly and was not able to offer more times to her clients. In 2023, 2 more MSW joined our team and their practices have grown really well as well. We feel it would greatly benefit the community to offer full time availability to our clients who are seeking support and with that would love to have an additional practitioner who can help provide this care.

We feel a good fit would be someone who is comfortable working with teens, older children and young adults, as well as adults. We have found that our clinic is not the optimal setting for Couples Counselling and Young Child Counselling ( under 8 years old). We are also open to other areas of interest a new therapist could offer at our clinic, so not just limited to the aforementioned. Our clinic and clients often prefer in-person sessions, although we do make Virtual Sessions available.

We have have seen growth with our current MSW who offer:

- Unpacking and understanding trauma and PTSD
- developing coping skills and anxiety reducing strategies
- Building self-esteem and self-compassion
- Relationship Issues
- Maintaining and creating boundaries
- Stress management
- Practicing self-compassion
- Creating healthy habits and decreasing unhealthy habits
- Developing coping skills and practicing calming difficult emotions
- Letting go of repetitive thoughts
- Working with teens and youth
- Offering walk and talks
- Individual support with relationship / partnership / marriages
- Parent support on communicating with their children and each other
- Pre and Post Natal coping, fertility struggles

ABOUT OUR CLINIC:
Upper Beach Health + Wellness is a multidisciplinary clinic located in the Upper Beach community that focuses on personalized care for each individual.

We use hands-on therapy, education, and rehabilitation to help our clients return to optimal function. We are a team consisting of Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, and Social Work that work well together with co-treating clients and helping each other with cases.

The clinic is at street level with exposure to foot traffic and a streetcar stop in front of our entrance. We offer a large, bright, well equipped, treatment room and with additional shared space for acupuncture and group classes.

We offer a competitive split that encourages growth for the practitioner.

We prefer Counsellors who have a minimum of 5 years of practice experience.

Our onsite hours and shifts are as follows and we suggest 2-3 shifts per week to encourage growth.

Monday to Thursday 8 am - 1/2 pm or 1/2 pm to 7 pm

Friday 8 am - 3 pm

Saturday 9 am - 3 pm
