**Overview**

Farm work is done in all weather. Hours vary throughout the season but are longer during the spring and summer during planting and harvesting.

**Responsibilities**
- Operate light to heavy farm equipment such as front end loaders, disc plows, rototillers, subsoilers, berry harvester, and a 5 ton truck to perform various tasks.
- Ability to switch implements.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety (ie. grease equipment, check oil, perform light maintenance).
- Transportation of farm products or equipment between locations or for deliveries.
- Collaborate with team members to execute tasks or projects effectively and adhere to timelines.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on job sites.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding project progress and any equipment issues that arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all tools and equipment are stored properly.
- Other farm related duties as required.

**Skills / Qualifications**
- Minimum 1 year experience driving and operating light to heavy duty farm equipment proficiently.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Valid class 5 license and clean driver's abstract.
- Experience with commercial driving is a plus for transporting equipment between job sites.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Willingness to work additional hours when required.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors. Ability to speak Spanish an asset but not required.
- A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of heavy equipment operation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

Licence/Certification:
