**Summary**
The Shop Hand is responsible for assisting with shop and yard maintenance, shipping and receiving equipment, operating material handling equipment, and general facility repairs. This position requires an individual to be professional, safety-minded, self-motivated, and capable of operating machinery.
**Job Responsibilities & Duties**
- Prepare and set up tools and equipment for fabrication jobs
- Perform tool crib duties, inventory, and general housekeeping throughout the shop
- Complete accurate paperwork, such as job control and safety forms
- Operate and maintain equipment, such as hand and power tools
- Identify faulty or damaged equipment and materials and inform the Supervisor of the problem
- Partake in inventory control and maintenance, including cycle and annual inventory counts
- Use, complete, and read labels, warnings, and direction symbols and signs as per RHK policies, procedures, and practices
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment as directed
**Requirements**:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent 3-5 years of experience
- Ability to obtain valid forklift certification
- Basic computer proficiency required
- Highly organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and self-motivated to meet deadlines, which supports safety and quality programs
- Must be adaptable to changing work environment and competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
- Have a positive team-oriented attitude, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills with the ability to read and write English
- Highly reliable with an excellent attendance record
**Working Environment**
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, mechanical parts, and vibration
- May be exposed to noise levels and sounds that might be loud or distracting
- This position requires individuals to safely be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- 40-hour work week
- Manual dexterity required
- Overtime as required
**Compensation-** $20- $30 Hourly
**Shift -** Mon
- Fri 6:00 am-2:30pm
