**About the Role**:
This position is responsible for managing the supply chain component of new product launches and leading other supply chain projects in coordination with Windsor Supply Chain. This position is also responsible for monitoring and forecasting raw material inventory, managing the purchase of those materials to targeted inventory levels at 100% material availability. Inventory management during New Product Introduction will require a high level of collaboration with Global Procurement, Project Management and Marketing/Product Teams. In addition, a major part of this role is to ensure strong category and commercial management of locally managed raw material commodities, which will include leading cost savings initiatives, continuous improvement projects and optimization of product packaging.

**What You Will Do**:
**New Product Introduction and Material Change over management 50%**
- Partner with Product Teams to Launch New Products. Lead areas of responsibility will include material sourcing, Supply Chain planning, and packaging optimization.
- Manage and Lead change for cost savings/continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to independently and confidently manage highly complex, multi-functional, highly integrated situations involving plant management as it relates to supply chain. An ability to communicate detailed analysis at an Executive level is expected.
- Possesses a broad knowledge of business practices which facilitates effective communication interactions with Global Product Marketing, Program Management, Manufacturing Operations, Global Procurement Teams, Accounting and Finance.
- The ability to review and analyze production forecasts vs. highly dynamic actual sales and adjust Material Requirements Planning (MRP) accordingly to ensure 100% material availability.
- Execute and support new product launches as required by attending launch meetings and generating reports required to support efficient supply chain decisions

**Commercial Procurement / Category Management 50%**
- Ability to understand business requirements, analyze data, and support sourcing strategy development to achieve optimized Total Cost of Ownership for materials
- Develop strategic sourcing strategies with business partners for specific categories being purchased using criticality analysis, business knowledge, competitive analysis, and sourcing expertise.
- Identify, research, and prioritize possible sourcing opportunities through internal spend analysis, knowledge of business, potential savings, and/or urgency of business need.
- Identify new purchasing opportunities and savings strategies through spend concentration analysis and ensure achievement of committed savings objectives.
- Manage and lead sourcing activities including RFP development, analysis, recommendation, and Contract Management
- Effectively prepare, coordinate, and conduct all Supplier negotiations.
- Memorialize results of negotiations through development and review of contractual language.
- Collaborate with Global Procurement as the need arises to ensure appropriate requisition process, delegation of authority and commercial documents are in place for purchases under Global responsibility.
- Establish Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Metrics/Model for high value/impact Contracts.
- Lead and Support Packaging Optimization initiatives, including packaging design changes to increase product quality, lower damage complaints, increase package density, and lower material cost.

**What You Need**:

- University or College education majoring in business, materials management or engineering is required. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) considered an asset
- Experience working on Product Launch Teams and Program Management
- Highly proficient at forecasting, inventory planning and ordering using SAP MRP tools
- Supplier Management (7+ years)
- Managing quality issues and Supplier returns
- SAP skill capability: Operationally proficient at MRP planning
- End to end experience from RFP to Contract
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and inventory management ERP software (SAP experience preferred, ideally SAP operationally functional abilities with high level understanding of business linkages to other teams.)
- Excellent time management skills and flexibility in working hours
- Capacity to supervise direct reports with varying degrees of experience working independently in a high paced change-oriented environment.
