**Position**: Sanitation Associate

**Job Type**: Full Time Permanent

**Shift/Schedule**: **Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM**

**POSITION PURPOSE**:
Performs routine cleaning of the distribution center (75%) and corporate office (25%).Routine cleaning includes vacuuming; sweeping, and mopping floors; dusting, washing walls, doors, and windows, and emptying trash. Perform minor preventative maintenance and minor repairs. Assist service personnel as needed. Reports major repair and maintenance needs. Assist with snow removal.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure that you have all of the needed janitorial equipment.
- Operates floor scrubber.
- Sweeps and vacuums dock plates.
- Sweeps and mop sanitation barriers.
- Empties trash bins from all locations in the cooler, freezer, grocery and loading dock, offices and break areas.
- Empties cardboard and plastic recycling and compacts.
- Keeps all areas free of debris such as wood fragments, pallet wrap, labels, and paper.
- Removes empty pallets and clean and mop slots.
- Discards leaking product and records on the reconditioning log.
- Reports any violation of company policy to supervisor or lead.
- Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education/Certification**:

- High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience preferred.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a Sanitation or Cleaner role preferred.
- Warehouse/Operations experience preferred but not required.

**Required Knowledge**:

- Understands Safety guidelines.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers.

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Understand procedures in other areas of the warehouse (freezer, cooler, grocery) for a more global understanding of all processes.
- Able to work in the following working conditions: room termpature (dry), cooler (3-5 degrees), and freezer (below -20 degrees)
- Skilled communicator; able to follow instructions.
- Able to work independently and within a team.

**Physical Environments/Demands**:

- Stooping, bending, standing, twisting, lifting and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties
- Some work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment and some work may be performed in warehouse locations with temperatures ranging from ambient to below zero.
