Yard Worker

We are currently seeking a PART TIME lumber yard associate to fill position. This position would be not suitable for a student. Must be available to work Monday to Friday and be available for some weekends. The lumber yard associate would report directly to the yard supervisor.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
- Check invoices and verify correct product is provided
- Assist with the daily upkeep of the yard including offloading trucks, organizing stock, cleaning, building loads for delivery, & maintaining pallets/stock
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
- Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard

- Ability to work outside in all conditions, year round
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

- Ability to perform physical work with medium and heavy lifting on a regular basis
- Related experience and knowledge an asset
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Driven with the ability to take initiative

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
