Class 1 (Chicken) Driver

Sunrise Poultry Processors Ltd is one of the top 25 Food and Beverage manufacturers in Canada, and has a primary focus on the process and distribution of quality products.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment.
- Safety must come first daily.
- On-time delivery.
- Excellent attendance.
- Delivering live poultry from local farms to processing plants.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 3 years issued Class 1 license with air brake (Q) endorsement
- Minimum 1 year forklift experience
- lean Commercial Driver’s Abstract printed within 30 days.
- Resume with minimum of 3 years working experience with references*
- Provincial/Federal Daily Driver’s Log experience
- Maintenance/Heavy Duty repair experience is an asset
- Experience with transporting livestock is an asset
- Positive attitude and work ethic
- Operating tractor units as far north as Ponoka, Alberta
- No border crossing trips required
- Responsible for transporting day old chicks from the Hatchery to farm locations
