**HOURS OF WORK**:
**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:
**Reporting to the Director of Emergency, the Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the smooth operations of the Emergency Department. She/he will facilitate best practices with respect to patient-focused care within PRHC. The primary role of the Manager will be to lead and support operations in these departments on a day-to-day basis. The Manager will participate in the development of policies and procedures in accordance with PRHC’s strategic initiatives and objectives, including meeting industry professional practice and quality standards. She/he will be responsible for providing clinical direction, quality improvement programs, and patient and staff safety programs.**

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**:
**-**Post-Secondary Degree, preferably in nursing.**

**-**3-5 years’ management or leadership experience preferred, preferably in Emergency or Critical Care departments.**

**-**2-3 years’ clinical experience**

**-**Preferably in Emergency or Critical Care departments as Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.**

**WHO YOU ARE**:
**-**Project Management or Project Leadership experience is an asset.**

**-**Completion of a Graduate level management course or equivalent would be an asset.**

**-**Excellent human resources management and leadership skills are assets.**

**-**Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, physicians, and patients/families.**

**-**Excellent verbal and written communication skills.**

**-**Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at a time.**

**-**Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives within specified time frames.**

**-**Excellent conflict resolution and change management skills.**

**-**Computer skills and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs.**

**-**Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.**
