Reporting to the Store Manager and SUNRIPE Owners, the Deli Department Manager is responsible for customer satisfaction, profitability, staffing, and cleanliness in their department.

**What You Bring to Our Team**:

- Minimum two years’ experience in delicatessen or related department management
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, culinary or other related field or a combination of experience and education
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Ability to delegate, lead and inspire a team with a passionate and positive demeanor
- Computer skills specifically with the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Flexible availability from 5:00am till 8:30pm, seven days per week

**What You Get To Do**:

- Provide courteous, friendly and efficient customer service
- Ensure a positive, friendly and supportive work environment
- Answer telephone calls and receive orders
- Supervise, train, mentor and conduct annual performance reviews with deli department employees
- Assist and guide team members with grading, preparing, packaging, labeling and stocking products
- Organize and ensure proper storage of inventory
- Work with Human Resources and Store Manager with hiring and onboarding
- Control inventory of product on a monthly basis and prepare spreadsheets for Accounting
- Order products weekly, receive them and check deliveries for accuracy and freshness
- Manage department profit margin by following recipes, verifying product costs, and updating retail pricing
- Merchandise deli department products and displays artistically
- Manage production of deli products, while maintaining impeccable cleanliness
- Manage department schedules within an assigned labour budget
- Follow and ensure government regulations, company policies and procedures
- Attend Management and staff meetings
- Other assigned duties as they may arise

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
