Overnight Lead Hand

Fresh Start Foods Canada Ltd was founded in 1993 to provide Customers with a fresh alternative. An outstanding supply network, efficient distribution through our three regional locations, and our thoroughly modern processing plant are all part of our commitment to provide the freshest fruits and vegetables as possible. In addition, Fresh Start Foods purchased Eating New Creations in 2015 and as a result we now have added to our portfolio an innovative, top quality, fresh and healthy grab and go line of products that include, but not limited to sandwiches, snack cups, bento boxes, composed and leaf salads, parfaits etc.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Overnight Lead Hand to join our team based out of our London, Ontario location.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete daily processing duties/tasks
- Offloads product from trucks and provides for rotation on a “first in-first out” basis unless otherwise specified by a supervisor
- Supervise and participate in order selection for all runs and trucks.
- Stacks pallets correctly, i.e., heavy products used as the base, light and delicate products on top
- Stages products in cooler, warehouse and on dock to ensure that only quality products are accessible for selection and delivery to customers, and consults with the supervisor, quality control specialist or purchaser when there is a doubt about quality
- Responsible for the accuracy and quality of all products shipped or received
- Actively inspects a minimum of two cases per pallet for all pallets received
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of our products and procedures.
- Stores all received product in the designated areas
- Notifies warehouse manager or purchaser when special or non-stock items have been received and stored
- Inspects all incoming trucks according to company guidelines. (temperature, cleanliness and sanitation)
- Enter customer order, print pick labels, invoices and do other computer work as needed
- Records all deliveries in log

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

- Ability to lead and motivate team members.
- Valid license for operation of counter-balance forklift (preferred)
- 3 - 5 years of experience operating equipment in a warehouse environment
- Prior experience in a fast paced warehouse is essential
- Prior experience in a multi-temperature environment and perishable products an asset
- Knowledge of produce is an asset
- May be required to work longer than the scheduled work hours
- Has a history of good attendance and adherence to the work schedule
- Valid G License in required
