**Centennial Academy is looking for a bilingual **Development & Alumni Relations (DAR) Coordinator for the Centennial Foundation**

**About Centennial Academy**:
Located in Montreal, Quebec, Centennial Academy is a leader in inclusive education and is dedicated to helping young people master their learning challenges, become autonomous and resilient learners, and graduate on time. Centennial Academy has an English-language sector and a French-language sector.

We are early adopters of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL), a scientifically-driven educational framework that addresses the main barrier to learning: an inflexible, one-size-fits-all approach to teaching. UDL reaches all types of learners, by providing multiple means of representation, expression and engagement.

**About the Centennial Foundation**:
The Centennial Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the development and pursuit of the educational project of Centennial Academy and College. It carries out this mission by collecting funds and allocating them to various projects and activities submitted to it by Centennial Academy. Thanks to the financial support of the Foundation, Centennial Academy can award scholarships and financial aid to those who would otherwise not be able to benefit from its educational project.

In addition, its current Capital Campaign **_The Future of Learning Starts Here _**is enabling Centennial to relocate to its new site and provides the funds for renovation costs.

**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director of Development, the DAR Coordinator is responsible for maintaining strong networks and relationships with constituents of both the Academy and College and carrying out all administrative tasks necessary to support the moves management and data needs of Development and Alumni Office. Included in our alumni network are: graduates, former employees and teachers, former board members, former parents and grandparents.

The DAR will play a key role, researching and updating information on constituents, coordinating various Development and Alumni events, communications, invitation and RSVP lists, sponsors, budgets, reports and supervision of volunteers or stagiaires. The DAR will also serve as a back up to the Campaign Coordinator and assist with data entry, deposits and receipting when required.

**The Development and Alumni Coordinator will**:

- Conduct research, create profiles and confirm via telephone if needed, to update and maintain personal and business data on all alumni and other development constituents.
- Import and export excel lists to and from the PRODON database from a variety of other school databases.
- Plan and organize development/alumni events, which include but are not limited to: Homecoming and anniversary class reunion activities, alumni campus visits and student events to welcome them to the Alumni Network.
- Assist as required, in collaboration with Campaign Coordinator & the Finance department of Centennial to ensure compliance with the procedures for collecting & receipting donations and entering data.
- Coordinate and write communications such as Class Notes, Births, Marriages and In Memoriam list for the e-magazine and help to edit other Advancement publications.
- Establish, analyze and maintain a network of key contacts to aid in development and efforts to strengthen alumni involvement.
- Work with the Director of Development to increase alumni giving through the use of volunteer leadership, reunion giving, individual cultivation and prospect management.
- Other assignments as indicated by the Director of Development

**Requirements**:

- Perfectly bilingual (English and French)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, in English and French
- Creativity, versatility, and ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines.
- Curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm serving as an ambassador for Centennial especially with a wide range of individuals
- Analytical skills, knowledge and experience with websites, mailchimp, social media platforms and the stewardship of Alumni donors
- Previous experience in Development for educational institutions an asset
- Knowledge of PRODON or the general functioning of donor databases an asset.
