**We Know Training **is looking for a **Sector Leader **to lead our new Cannabis and Alcohol Training division, which is being created from the acquisition of CannSell Ontario (CannSell.ca).
**Your Opportunity**
As Sector Leader, you will oversee one of We Know Training's newest and highest growth potential portfolios of Regulated Training**:_Cannabis & Alcohol training (Controlled Substances)_**. As a relatively new line of business, this role will be tasked with managing and maintaining a regulatory-approved cannabis retail worker training program for the province of Ontario. Further to this, you will be accountable for incubating and executing the vision and strategy for regulated Cannabis and Alcohol Training in Canada and Internationally with the goal of growing into a multi-million dollar vertical. This role is supported by centralized functions which include the best-in-industry learning management and storefront technology, an eLearning development department, a marketing department, customer success and business services (operations & finance).
**Responsibilities**
**Drive revenue**
- Drive new business growth through greater advocacy and reference-ability
- Develop and oversee major account relationships and channel partners.
- Develop ample strategic partnership opportunities, including new content development, geographic/market expansion, and/or ‘tuck-in’ M&A opportunities.
**Oversee and assist with content development**
- Monitor for and ensure compliance and maintenance of existing titles and programs
- Scan for and understand the opportunities in the development of new training programs and products
**Master our voice as thought leaders and educators**
- Manage and oversee the voice and presence of how we are seen in the Cannabis and Alcohol Industry.
- Participate in industry events, policy discussions and lobbying needs
- Overseeing publishing of blogs, podcasts, and customer community development
**Oversee and inspire the final marketing strategy**
- Work with internal marketing function to ensure peak performance of digital assets
- Support sales function in trade show participation and choosing the best allocation of marketing budget
- Direct marketing, lead management, and sales collateral
**Qualifications**
- Experience in a leadership role and leading customer-facing organizations
- A minimum of 3 years of industry experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building
- A combined background of sales and cannabis/alcohol training experience
- The ability to travel is essential
- Strong empathy for customers AND passion for revenue and growth
- Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models
- Analytical and process-oriented mindset
- Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement
- An enthusiastic and creative leader with the ability to inspire others
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Understand the importance of client value delivery
