**Nasittuq provides Operation & Maintenance services for the North Warning System (NWS). The NWS is a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites located in Northern Canada; a Control Centre and Support Centre located in North Bay, ON and a Contract Management Office located in Ottawa, ON.**
As a key member of the HR team and working closely with the HR Manager, the Talent Acquisition Team Lead is a multi-faceted position with a focus on process improvement, quality assurance and optimize our talent acquisition efforts focusing on both the current and future staffing needs of the organization.
**Who You Are**:
You are an experienced, responsive, engaged, results-orientated talent acquisition specialist that is excited to take the lead of our recruitment processes and turn them into a well-oiled machine. If you haven't yet been challenged in the recruitment of fly-in, fly-out talent in Canada's arctic, this is an opportunity to learn these operations, roll up your sleeves and lead our small team of specialists to recruit talent. You enjoy collaborating both in person at the office in our hybrid environment, and through Teams. You are able to reset to changing priorities, and embrace challenges as learning and growth opportunities. This is a full-time permanent position based in Ottawa, ON with a hybrid work environment (in office minimum 2 days per week).
**Responsibilities & Accountabilities**:
- Coordinate and assign all recruitment requests throughout talent acquisition team
- Create metrics & KPIs to report on recruitment efforts & results
- Optimize all recruitment processes, ensuring commitments to DEI objectives are prioritized
- Refine the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure it is being used to maximum capability, and create processes for Talent team
- Directly partner with senior leaders on recruitment processes for senior level recruitment
- Enhance our branding, postings and social presence to target recruitment efforts appropriately
- Participate in talent strategies with internal stakeholders to understand our current and future needs and determine sourcing strategies to support requirements
- Coordinate the annual Employment Equity Report, ensuring compliance at all times
- Oversee the development of up to date job descriptions for all positions
- Will provide backup support for all recruitment activities as required
- Assist in other various projects, duties and requirements
**Qualifications**:
- A minimum of 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, previous leadership experience is an asset
- Post secondary education in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain talent acquisition metrics & KPIs
- Strong working knowledge with ATSs and other online talent acquisition platforms
- Previous experience in the talent acquisition of technical / operational / northern or fly-in / fly-out talent is an asset
- Must be able to work effectively in a team and be self-motivated to meet results, deadlines and timelines
- Adaptability and ability to manage priorities with attention to detail and work cross-culturally
- Self-motivated, strong hands-on work ethic
- Exceptional working knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent business writing skills (English) and effective verbal communication skills
