Vitamin Supervisor

We are looking for a Vitamin Supervisor to join us who is just as dedicated as we are in providing exceptional customer service and shares our passion. This role will be responsible for supervising our Langley vitamin department staff.

Some of the responsibilities of the role are, but not limited to:

- Develop strategies in conjunction with the Manager and Grocery Supervisor to improve customer service, drive store sales and increase profitability
- Provide day-to-day supervision of the vitamin team, ensuring performance meets our expected standards
- Train, develop and motivate vitamin staff, empowering employees to excel in their roles (ongoing sales/training program)
- Inform vitamin team of daily duties
- Liaise with owners on product development, collaborating on promotional opportunities and initiatives
- Ensure that departmental goals are met, while adhering to the approved budgets
- Maximize sales and profitability through effective and creative merchandising
- Efficiently stock, rotate and display product in a neat, organized and appealing manner -Ensure vitamin pricing is accurate and up to date in the system
- Motivate the vitamin team to increase sales, while ensuring operational efficiency
- Order and maintain products assigned on the updated vendor list
- Handle customer inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt, polite and efficient manner
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety, food safety, and other regulatory requirements and procedures
- Build strong relationships with customers and vendors
- Provide additional customer service support and merchandising support as needed
- Online orders being fulfilled
- Ensure inventory is being received properly
- Oversee weekend tasks, ensure communication and weekend manager is set up for success
- Responsible to execute product Specials and other promotions
- Work with vendors on annual marketing plans (social media, in-store, website)

What we are looking for:

- At least 2 years of vitamin experience at a supervisory level
- Ability to commute to Langley location
- Although not required, a nutritionist certification would be deemed a major asset
- Strong leadership/managerial abilities
- Previous experience working with and managing budgets
- Comfortable with technology
- Understanding of nuances of sourced items
- Exceptional relationship building skills
- Is a good listener and driven to educate others
