Manning Park Resort (MPR) is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to live and work in the heart of the mountains, while playing a key role in shaping the future of a premier four-season resort through outreach and networking.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive sales strategies aimed at improving visitation both by individuals and groups (School, Social, Corporate) in both existing and emerging markets. You will be the face of MPR at area business events and trade shows and be a passionate cheerleader for all things Manning Park Resort. That one is easy

This is a pivotal role for a results-driven professional with a passion for hospitality, outdoor recreation and brand awareness who is comfortable with outreach and networking.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners, area business communities and key strategic clients by driving the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing
- Represent MPR at trade shows, industry meetings and community events to promote MPR products and activities
- Partnering with MPR’s Food and Beverage and Accommodations Managers to enhance the offerings available while ensuring alignment between client expectations and deliverables
- Collaborative engagement with MPR’s Marketing Manager to provide direction in the development of digitally based promotional materials to reach targeted audiences.
- Develop and implement growth strategies and outcomes. Establish targets and tracking metrics to ensure goals are met
- Provide regular reporting through accurate documentation of business recruitment and outcomes
- Other duties as required

**SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS**:
General
- Proficient in developing and implementing strategic plans for business growth
- Superior interpersonal skills to build and maintain successful relationships with clients and team members
- Outgoing and passionate by nature
- Excellent client relationship management skills
- Possess good judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to read and react positively to changing situations
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required with some local travel

Sales
- 3+ years experience in a sales environment with a proven record in the tourism and/or hospitality industry
- Competent in driving the sales process from the introduction to closing
- Experience in outreach to corporate, religious and social groups to drive group business
- Establish and support monthly, quarterly and annual targeted sales goals with all revenue generating departments
- Oversee all event & sales proposals
- Host clients for site visits to showcase services and products
