We believe that all individuals need to have options to make informed choices, to have significant relationships, to have a place to call home, to be respected and valued and to contribute to the community. **About the Role**: We are currently accepting resumes for a **Female Case Worker **position within our Supported Independent Living program. **This is a full time position working Sunday to Thursday with hours between 10 am - 6 pm.** Simaril Inc. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and rewarding workplace. **The Case Worker is responsible for**: - Providing direct services as needed to assist individuals in gaining skills for everyday life, transitioning in life changes, school, programming, employment and relationships. - Working closely with the Case Manager and front line staff to ensure that program plans are followed and needs are met. - Attending to and following up on all health needs and concerns including illness, injury, and trauma. Assist in providing training and orientation to new team members as required. - Providing mentorship and guidance to direct support staff on an ongoing basis. - Assisting with the obtaining of housing and services for people supported within the program. - Being part of the regular SIL On-Call rotation. - Communication - excellent communication skills are required for this position. You must be able to communicated in a professionally, timely and efficiently with all members of the team and other collaterals. - Leadership is a key quality for this role requiring the applicant to be able to mentor and develop others on the team and those that they support. - Administration skills such as computer literacy and written communication are priorities for this role. **Qualifications & Skills required**: - Must have 2 - 3 years of experience providing direct support to individuals with disability; leadership experience is an asset. - It is preferred to have a Post-secondary education in social services or equivalent experience in related roles. - Proficiency in the use of computer programs. - Required Certificates: First Aid Certification (Level C), Criminal Record Check, Adult and Child Abuse Registry, a current Manitoba Driver’s license and a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract. - Must have access to a safe and reliable vehicle for work purposes. - Must be Reliable and responsible. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: From $22.60 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: - 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
