**Duties**:
Stream 1: Roads, Infrastructure, and Fleet Asset Support Technician
Provides asset maintenance and technical support for the Roads, Infrastructure, and Fleet program in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve (Ucluelet, B.C). Assets including but not limited to a combination of road infrastructure; highways and bridges; buildings and structures; recreational facilities including campgrounds, day use facilities, beaches, and trails/boardwalks; vehicles and heavy equipment fleets; boats; and public utilities.
Stream 2: Trails Asset Support Technician
Provides asset maintenance and technical support to either the West Coast Trail Unit and/or the Long Beach Unit and Broken Group Islands Unit (based out of Ucluelet or Bamfield, B.C) of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Assets including but not limited to a combination of trails; multi-use path; boardwalk and alternative boardwalk infrastructure; engineered bridges; ladders and platforms; cable cars; buildings and structures; recreational facilities including campsites and camping areas, pit toilets, composters, viewpoints, and access to beaches.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Degree equivalency
STREAM 1: ROADS, INFRASTRUCTURE, AND FLEET ASSET SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience involving inspections of built assets, identifying deficiencies and maintenance requirements.
- Experience in maintaining various assets, including roads, bridges, and fleet vehicles.
- Experience in leading and supervising teams.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of the seasonal maintenance of highways, roads, bridges and fleet vehicles.
ABILITIES:
- Ability to schedule, organize and provide routine asset maintenance services to roads, infrastructure and fleet vehicles.

STREAM 2: TRAILS ASSET SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in maintaining various assets, including bridges, boardwalks, and buildings.
- Experience in leading and supervising teams.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of alternative trail building techniques.
ABILITIES:
- Ability to schedule, organize and execute routine asset maintenance services to remote worksite locations.

- Knowledge of the principals, theories, techniques, and practices associated with asset management and maintenance.
- Knowledge of contract administration, procurement, and asset management principles.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety procedures, safe work practices, and regulations as it relates to the Canada Labour Code
ABILITIES:
- Ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Ability to performance manage staff.
- Ability to plan, initiate, and coordinate projects and asset maintenance or capital contracts within scheduled timeframes.
