**How You'll Perform the Role**
- Manage Production planning and scheduling activities.
- Lead and mentor production and scheduler/planner.
- Daily, prepare and distribute schedules, monitor schedule attainment and follow-up significant concerns with production and/or management.
- Review customer requirements far enough in advance to detect potential problems in meeting those customer requirements. This process must occur in a timeframe that allows for corrective action and minimize the impact to the customer.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to containment and counter measures where needed to ensure OTIF targets are met.
- Manage and coordinate creation and updating of all engineering changes and BOM’s, to ensure product is available to meet launch date and volume.
- Liaise with Quality Assurance and Sales on quality issues that affect deliveries, communicate scheduling deviations with Customer Service, maintain up to date system files regarding new or changing data.
- Participate in information exchange with other departments as necessary.
- Maintenance and optimization of inventory.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust as necessary inventory buffers based on demand variability, desired customer service levels and process capabilities.
- Take initiative to minimize total system obsolescence exposure. Use a problem-solving method to determine root cause(s) and prevent recurrence of materials problems.
- Maintain daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports to ensure resources/inventory are available to meet customer demand.
- Capacity planning and preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Identify report and recommend solutions on capacity restrictions for the purpose of proactive planning and elimination of bottlenecks that affect capacity planning.
- Schedule and coordinate with production and maintenance, machine, and tools maintenance and/or overhauls.
- Ensure routine communications sessions take place with Production, Customer Service, Warehouse and Quality Assurance.
- Communicate performance and other information through posting of charts, bulletins, memos, etc. as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- College degree in Business and/or APICS certification an asset.
- Minimum 5 years in manufacturing production control and inventory management, experience in a fast paced, high volume environment.
- Knowledge of extrusion, thermoforming and assembly technology.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced, growth environment with many competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong understanding of Computers and ERP Software.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Must possess the ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and relate to people in a professional and mature way. Strong work ethic is required.

**Work Conditions**:

- This job requires adjusting to a variety of working environments, such as office, manufacturing plant and Warehouse conditions. However, most of the working time is spent in an office environment.
- Frequent interruptions.
- Flexibility of work hours required to deal with problems on a 24-hour, 7-day basis.
- Work Pressure from multiple sources; customers, Sales, Manufacturing.
