Shipping Receiving Manager

**Key Responsibilities**
- Receives goods and supplies and maintains inventory of all goods purchased and stored on the premises plus all operating equipment such as china, glassware, linen, and flatware.
- Creates and implements standards/templates for ordering of all needed products.
- Implements ordering and delivery schedules in accordance with corporate structure and preferred suppliers.
- Prepares and submits month-end inventory reports and takes part in counts.
- Provides daily reports of invoice activity and forwards to Accounting, all payables and credits.
- Issues a monthly report on the consumption of goods purchased
- Confers with the Executive Chef, Food and Beverage Manager and others in management on cost-effective pricing, new menu items and new products to ensure the end result of excellent customer service and contributes to improving company profit.
- Ensures rotation of goods to avoid spoilage and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintains a purchase order system and receiving log of goods entering the building, and files reports as required.
- Delegates and organizes the workload to Receivers including safety procedures and provides positive and corrective feedback and discipline as necessary.
- Controls the issuing of food and beverages by maintaining a proper requisition system.
- Ensures that fridges and freezers in warehouse storage areas are at correct temperatures.
- Ensures that food, beverages and supplies are adequately secured to reduce the possibility of theft.
- Assists in resolving disputes and discrepancies regarding orders and inventory.
- Ensure all invoices are in the inventory control software so accounts can verify with GL
- All waste needs to be recorded and entered into the inventory control software to avoid variances
- Ensure a copy of all liquor, beer and wine invoices are given to F&B office
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**What You Bring**
- 5 years shipping & receiving experience preferred
- Experience with taking inventory
- Experience with purchasing systems and software an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Adept at Internet supplier and product searches and the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work with purchasing systems and software
