**About Us**:
Polecat Power Line Company specializes in providing skilled personnel for power line construction, maintenance, and storm restoration projects. We are currently expanding our hiring pool to include experienced Power Line Technicians (PLTs) for contract positions. These positions are available for routine work and emergency storm response across Ontario, the U.S., and North America.

We are seeking Contract Power Line Technicians to join our hiring pool. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of power lines, as well as responding to emergency storm damage and outages. You will work on a variety of projects, from routine maintenance to high-pressure storm response, and will be expected to work in different locations across North America based on project needs.

This is a contract position with flexible, on-call deployments. You must be ready to travel at short notice to various work sites and work in all types of weather conditions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, maintain, and repair power lines and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical lines and equipment
- Respond to emergency storm damage and power outages with quick and efficient repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment required for work
- Collaborate with other technicians, laborers, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations on-site
- Maintain accurate work records, including safety checks, inspections, and job reports
- Be available for emergency storm response work and travel as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Red Seal Power Line Technician (PLT) certification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in power line construction, maintenance, and repair
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and power line work
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Must be willing to travel anywhere in North America for work
- Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, etc.) are a plus
