We have an immediate opening for a qualified, self-motivated, and detail-oriented person for the position of Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk. The Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk will perform various accounting tasks including posting entries, processing payments, preparing invoices, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and payroll.

**Job duties include (but are not limited to)**:

- Prepare invoices, post vendor payments, bank deposits and Accounts Receivables collection calls
- Communicate with customers on billing matters
- Prepare cheque runs and EFTs
- Accounts Payables
- Bank and credit card reconciliation
- Calculate, process, and administer payroll for company employees on a semi-monthly basis
- Maintain accurate payroll data for pay changes
- Ensure appropriate statutory deductions such as CPP and EI are calculated and remitted correctly
- Year-end processing, including T4 statements
- Respond to inquiries from employees regarding pay, deductions, etc.
- Subledger and G/L analysis, investigating and resolving discrepancies in records

**Qualifications**:

- A degree or diploma in Accounting or equivalent experience is an asset
- 1-2 years experience in A/R, A/P, payroll, G/L analysis, and bank reconciliation
- Solid understanding of Canadian accounting practices
- Experience in Quickbooks

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
