**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality care to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting a safe environment.
**Duties**
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
- Monitor and document patient health status, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Support individuals with dementia care by implementing appropriate strategies for engagement and safety.
- Assist with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safe transfers for patients.
- Maintain cleanliness in patient areas and assist with light housekeeping duties as required.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, particularly in senior care or nursing home settings.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and provide compassionate support.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all patients.
- Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent training is desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: $17.00-$21.64 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
