Kerr Street Cafe is looking to hire a skilled Barista to join our talented coffee team. We're a popular trendy spot in the heart of Kerr Village in Oakville that offers great coffee & brunch daily.

**Qualifications for Barista**
- 3 years working as a barista with previous coffee experience a must. (Shot pulling, machine maintenance, milk steaming, latte art, etc.)
- Retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to read and speak English proficiently.
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- Basic mathematical skills, with a knowledge and understanding on handling money.
- Ability to problem solve quickly.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Follow directions given by management.
- Willingness and ability to work clean and organized as well as a willingness to complete cleaning tasks as assigned.

**Responsibilities for Barista**
- Prepare specialty coffee/tea drinks that meet quality standard. Prepare cocktails and cold beverages as well.
- Properly handle and maintain all equipment.
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner.
- Accurately handle cash and credit card payments when required, following appropriate cash-handling & bill close out procedures.
- Serve customers quickly, efficiently, and friendly.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings (food & drink)
- Observe relevant health and safety standards.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
