Full and part-time early childhood educators starting wage is $16/hr. This will be dependent on Level and experience. This does not include top up by the Government of Alberta.
- Assist room lead with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
- Provide input for bi-annual assessment of children's development
- Maintain the cleanliness of the room
- Maintain daily open communication with parents
- Keep accident reports
- Maintain confidentiality
- Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
- Plan both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
- Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Attend in-service and staff meetings
- Meet all applicable licensing regulations
- Have knowledge of Emerging Curriculum and Flight Curriculum
- Provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Knowledge of licensing regulations
- Establish guidelines for behavior
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children. We are looking for Educators that are passionate about childcare and want to make this a career not just another job

Pay: From $16.24 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
