Driverseat Kitchener East is locally owned and operated and has been specializing in charter and shuttle transportation services for nearly 10 years in the Region. We offer professional door-to-door transportation for individuals and local businesses. As a franchise, Driverseat is growing rapidly through Canada and the U.S., becoming one of the first ever international transportation brands of its kind.

Chauffeurs (drivers) operate a fleet of company vehicles. All expenses related to delivering the service are covered by the company with exception to smart phones. Vehicles are late model minivans, 9 passenger vans, 13 passenger vans and 24 passenger mini buses.

Chauffeurs are paid by the hour and door-to-door, including time for pre-trip inspections, fueling and cleaning.

Chauffeurs can pursue part time or casual employment.

We strictly adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations for all Chauffeurs.

Position Details

Chauffeurs work a variety of shifts depending on what their desired schedule is and the needs of the business.

The typical scheduled routes for business clients are on weekdays (M-F) with consumer services sprinkled throughout the week and on weekends. There is some seasonality to the types of services provided, with weddings and brewery / winery tours being more prevalent in the warmer months. Airport trips are relatively consistent throughout the year.

Chauffeurs are expected to provide a great experience that is engaging, courteous and safe. We focus on defensive driving, staying at the speed limit and putting the client’s needs above all else.

Position Qualifications

Applicants should:
Have at least three (3) years of _professional _driving experience with a valid E, F, C, or B Driver’s License

Be able to provide a driver's abstract in good standing

Provide an LOE (letter of experience) from insurance company that provided commercial coverage (typically obtained through past employers)

Be in good overall physical health and be able to lift up to 50 pounds as required by a client

Preferably be a non-smoker

Be comfortable with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that may be required at times including but not limited to masks and gloves

Provide a current police check, including a vulnerable sector search (only upon accepting a position)

Be comfortable with technology, including smartphone apps and GPS software
