**Tillsonburg Custom Foods has an immediate opening available for a QC/Pre-op Specialist position on our day shift The hours for this position are Monday-Friday; 4:30am-1 pm.**

**Overview**:
The QC/Pre-op Specialist will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, and is responsible for maintaining quality standards as directed by legislative and company standards. This role has in integral part in our overall customer satisfaction thus the ideal person for this role will have an ability to monitor, inspect and propose measures to correct or improve a company’s final products and processes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conducting visual inspection of all areas and equipment in plant to ensure cleanliness prior to the start of production.
- Monitors and records the temperatures on the production floor and in all product storage rooms
- Responsible for completion and maintenance of inspection records, documenting deviations and initiating corrective actions.
- Working with CFIA inspectors on regular basis during pre-op inspection tasks and ensuring compliance to company’s policies.
- Working closely with sanitation and production personnel to ensure highest standard of cleanliness is achieved and maintained at all times.
- Complete quality checks on raw products as they enter the facility;
- Complete quality checks during production runs to ensure CFIA and HACCP quality standards are adhered to;
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance Technician to ensure proper labels and food nutritionals are in place for each product;
- Maintain professional behaviours when coordinating with the Quality Assurance and Production departments;
- Assist the QA Manager with additional tasks as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.50 per hour
