The Position

Reporting to the Building and Grounds Manager, the incumbent will perform varies duties related to the building and grounds department including the area. This is a full-time of 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Upkeep of playing fields, walkways, parking lots, and grounds

Flood and maintain ice in arena
- Snow removal and sanding/salting
- Storage and maintenance of stock and equipment
- Set up for special events including sporting events, examinations and graduation
- Use heavy equipment when required
- Work in collaboration with team members on general duties
- Part of the emergency response team

Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Highschool diploma
- 1-3 years relevant experience in grounds maintenance
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of operating tractors, trucks
- Bilingualism an asset
- Initiative and good organizational skills are essential
- Ability to relate well to colleagues, students and the BCS community
- A sense of pride in the work environment is crucial
