**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Manager, Business & Data Analysis is a new role added in support of SRY’s continued investment into technology and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Corporate Finance, this critical role will work with system and data-driven projects of varying size and complexity. Using their knowledge and experience, they will lead business stakeholders and cross-functional teams through new projects and provide ongoing review and support of systems in place. The duties and responsibilities of the incumbent include but not limited to:

- Obtaining a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
- Documenting current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps.
- Understanding technical options, limitations, costs, and risks. Communicating tradeoffs to business partners and working with them to shape requirements accordingly.
- Translating conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
- Working with business stakeholders, operations teams, technical SMEs, external vendors, and leadership to ensure that the solution provided aligns with the business requirements and objectives.
- Delivering fit-for-purpose solutions through coordination and management of user acceptance testing and requirements traceability to help manage scope and quality.
- Managing relationships with stakeholders to provide continued best practice support.
- Providing orientation and inputs into process and system training material.
- Performing continued evaluations of end-user adoption and working with end users to identify opportunities for business process improvements.
- Identifying KPIs and developing metrics to track and measure business performance.
- Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings effectively.
- Collaborating with data engineers and IT professionals to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.
- Monitoring data quality to identify data issues and propose data cleansing or enhancement solutions.

**THE PERSON**:
The successful incumbent will have the following:

- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or another related field plus a minimum of 5 to 7 or more years of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in an industrial setting is an asset.
- Experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations and policies of a new business area.
- Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
- Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
- Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation or business requirements summaries.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills.
