**Community Disability Support Practitioner (CDSP)**
**About EIS**
At Edmonton Integrated Services Ltd., we are committed to the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities. Our vision is a community of choice, safety, rights, diversity, and inclusion.
**About the Role**
We are seeking reliable and motivated Community Disability Support Practitioners to join our team. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys meaningful work, values flexibility, and thrives on working independently while supporting individuals both at home and in the community.
**A Day in the Life**
- Support individuals in participating in community activities, social events, and personal development goals.
- Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and community inclusion.
- Assist with daily living skills such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, caregivers, and supervisors to ensure consistent, person-centered support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of supports provided.
**Schedule & Hours**
- Hours of work fall **Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (no evenings or weekends are required, though weekend and evening availability is considered an asset).**:
- Hours are assigned based on caseloads, which may change depending on client needs. Flexibility is key.
- Shifts are typically 3-6 hours per client, and you may support more than one client in a day.
- Staff cannot exceed 8 hours/day, with part-time (0-24 hrs/week) and full-time (24-40 hrs/week) opportunities available.
- **Mandatory monthly in-office team meetings are required.**
**Important Considerations**
- This role requires travel across the Edmonton area between client homes and community locations.
- Travel time and expenses are not reimbursed, so this position is best suited for individuals who are comfortable with independent commuting.
- Caseloads are assigned based on your availability and client needs.
- The rate of pay is higher than similar roles in our other programs to reflect this flexibility.
**Who This Role is a Good Fit For**
You may be an excellent fit if you:
- Prefer a weekday, daytime schedule but are open to occasional evening or weekend availability as a bonus.
- Can work independently and manage your time honestly and responsibly.
- Are adaptable and comfortable with changing caseloads and supporting different clients in a day.
- Are **comfortable traveling across Edmonton** to provide supports.

- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (required).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience supporting individuals with behaviours of concern; mental health experience is an asset.

- **Access to reliable transportation is essential** due to travel between client locations.
**Compensation & Perks**
- Hourly rate**:$22.00 - $24.04**:
- Higher rate of pay compared to similar positions in our other programs.
- Not benefit-eligible, but all employees have access to our Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP).
- Flexible scheduling within weekday daytime hours
