Pollard operates out of a 300,000 square foot state-of-the-art manufacturing plant and are recognized as a leader in new and replacement window manufacturing._ **JOB TYPE**:Permanent, Full-Time Employment; 40 hours + Per Week. - This position is eligible to join the company Medical Benefits plan after 3 months of continuous employment, and Profit Sharing Plan after 1 year of employment._ **WORKING HOURS**:Monday through Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm; Overtime Likely; Paid Time-and -a-Half after 40hrs/week. **JOB PURPOSE**: Works in close liaison with Customers, Sales, and Production while making site deliveries of Pollard Windows Products in an automatic transmission 24’ delivery truck. Deliveries take place across Ontario. Drivers Load and Unload at Pollard Shipping Dock and Customer Sites with the assistance of a Driver's Helper. **ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**: - Review work orders; confirm all products and sales orders are accounted for - Hand - Load Windows, Doors, and Parts safely onto truck (assistance from Driver’s Helper) - Effectively communicate with customers; address customer inquiries and concerns in a friendly and approachable manner; Contact Sales / Customer Service if there is a customer complaint - Responsible for safety and well-being of Driver’s Helper and vehicle while on delivery - Conduct and submit a Daily Truck Report prior to departure, Daily Work Order Travel Sheets, and a Weekly Truck Inspection - Determine safety matters for delivery; establish alternative routes if required - Clean truck and ensure all safety equipment is present and used properly - Quality control - report any quality issues to the Shipping Supervisor **QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**: - Must hold a **valid “D” Licence**: - **First Aid / CPR Training **is an asset; required upon hire - **Working from Heights** **Certificate **is an asset; required upon hire; _Note: Drivers will not be required to work at heights however certification is mandatory to make deliveries at a construction site_ - Possess **clean driver’s abstract**; able to provide upon hire and at other times during employment **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**: - Lifting up to 100 lbs throughout the day with assistance of a Driver's Helper - Manual dexterity, frequent bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, squeezing, pulling, and pushing **YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE HAD PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH**: - General Labour - Construction Worker - Manual Labour - Delivery Driver - Mover / Moving Companies **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Life insurance - On-site parking - Profit sharing - Vision care Schedule: - Day shift Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay Application question(s): - Are you able to reliably commute to Burlington, ON? - Are you open to working more than 40 hours per week when required?
