Security Guard

Join our Security Team at AKV Construction. We are looking for security guard to join our field crew, to develop a strong security team for services inside and outside Montana First Nation. **Duties of the Security Staff**:
1. Patrol designated property to monitor and prevent intrusion, damage, hazards, and breaches of security

2. Protect property and tenants from theft, damage, trespassing or accidents

3. Provide a visible presence that enforces safety and security

4. Identify and investigate suspicious behaviour, threats, and irregular activity

5. Respond to alarms and request for help

6. Monitor and control entrance and departure of employees and visitors according to prescribed protocol

7. Detect and confront unauthorized persons and violators of security procedures

8. Conduct exterior property checks for maintenance issues, malfunctions, or hazards

9. Use radio or other communication devices in a clear and concise manner

10. Prepare written reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents

11. Implement and prescribed emergency plan in case of emergency

12. Details oriented and keen observation skills

13. Effective communication skills - verbal and written

14. Integrity and moral fitness

15. Reliability and dependability

16. Able to react appropriately in emergency and high stress situations

17. Flexible to work different schedules

18. Meet physical requirements

**Requirements**:

- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Completion of Security Training
- Minimum of 2 Years experience
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Criminal Record Check
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with the Microsoft office suite
- Experience in working with Indigenous communities
- Experience in working with industry
- Demonstrated leadership and customer service skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Seasonal

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
