We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in the dairy manufacturing industry in the Don Mills plant. Reporting to the plant manager, as a Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety audits, and providing ongoing training to employees to ensure compliance with all provincial health and safety regulations.

**_What’s involved in this role _**
- Implement Agropur H&S management systems and programs including those associated with Agropur’s Operating System (AOS).
- Facilitate and lead the Health and Safety Committee.
- Drive the site AOS health and safety pillar.
- Maintain accurate records of all safety-related incidents, audits, and training.
- Work with management and employees to identify and control potential safety hazards in the workplace.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes, recommend corrective actions and provide coaching on root cause analysis.
- Provide ongoing training to employees on safety procedures and practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits to assess the effectiveness of existing safety programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement Health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Act as a coach to plant personnel.

**_What you need to join our team _**
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field.
- 3- 5 years of experience in a health and safety role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining health and safety programs from beginning to end.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in Ontario, Canada.
- Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) or Certified Registered Safety Technician (CHST) designation, or in progress preferred.
