**Required Qualifications**:
Grade 12 or equivalent.
**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Physically capable of walking/standing for the entire shift and performing repetitive movements. Able to lift up to 50lbs independently or assist in lifting up to 350 lbs as needed; ability to exert 50lbs push and pull force when handing patients on stretchers/beds/wheelchairs or equipment. Ability to squat, bend, reach in all directions and good hand and finger coordination to safely handle equipment. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment for long periods of time (e.g. Surgical and N95 Respiratory Masks, Eye Protection, etc.). Communicate clearly and effectively in English, including speaking, understanding, reading, and writing. Basic knowledge and operation of a computer and a smartphone. Dependable, cooperative, customer service attitude and able to work with mínimal supervision. Applications that include completed profile & resume will be considered for this position.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Previous hospital experience, knowledge of cleaning equipment is preferred. Customer service is preferred. Service Worker or Environmental Services leadership experience such as working leader, shift lead, training or equivalent preferred. Up to date Required Learning Courses such as “Move Safe” ergonomic program and the “It’s Your Move”, WHMIS, Code Red, etc.
