**Tester**

In this job you will be responsible for various electrical and mechanical testing according to established procedures and guidelines.

**As a Tester you will**:

- Perform a variety of electrical and mechanical tests including but not limited to : Hipot testing and Leak Testing
- Safely perform set up and tear down of equipment and products to be vacuumed and filled with SF6, per designated instructions.
- Visually Inspect product and testing equipment to detect conformance to standards
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Basic assembly with hand tools in conjunction with a drawing and/or Bill of Material
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

**We are looking for someone who**:

- Technical College/University graduate in electrical or mechanical studies is an asset
- A minimum of one (1) year working experience in a testing position
- Previous experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Demonstrated working knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and bill of materials
- Demonstrated ability of use of small hand and power tools
- Demonstrated basic electrical knowledge
- Basic computer skills
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety is critical
- Results-oriented, self-motivated individual with a sense of initiative
- Ability to independently identify and develop solutions to problems that may arise in the course of work
- Ability to work independently and as a team player while solving problems and multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
- Take responsibility for their own safety and those around them by following safety & environmental rules and regulations

**We prefer someone who**:

- Has previous working experience in Hipot and Vacuum Leak Testing
- Has experience in medium voltage electrical testing
- Has a Technical College/University graduate in electrical or mechanical studies

**Shift**:
This is a day shift position running Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

**Physical Demands/Working Conditions**:
Lifting Demands
- Lift up to 40 lbs. on an frequent basis floor to waist
- Lift up to 40 lbs. on a occasional basis floor to chest
- Carry up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis up to 25 feet
- Push/pull up to 100 lbs on an occasional basis

Postural Demands
- Standing - continuous
- Walking - continuous
- Bending/stooping - continuous
- Squatting/kneeling - continuous
- Lifting - continuous

Miscellaneous Demands
- Griping, manipulation, fingering - frequent to continuous
- Variable hand/power tool use - frequent
- Two-person lifting tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing including hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts and hoists

**Pay Range is typically between $17.79 to $23.08 per hour**
