Temporary Full Time Security Guard - Fanshawe College
**Position**:Security Guard
**Site**: Fanshawe College
**City**: London, Ontario
**Status**:Temporary Full Time
**Hours**: 12 hour Rotating Continental Shift
**Pay Rate**: $19.84/hr

**Duties Include but not limited to**:

- Report writing
- Arrest procedures
- Customer service
- Public Relations
- Physical rounds of clients’ property
- Securing premises
- Enforcing client’s policies
- CCTV monitoring

**Requirements**:

- Successful completion of a diploma in Protection, Security and Investigation or Police Foundations, or equivalent
- Licensed as a Security Guard in the Province of Ontario
A valid Ontario “G” Driver's Licence; required to produce a 3 year drivers licence record satisfactory to the college
- Advanced non violent crisis intervention skills and verbal de-escalation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of proper use of restraint systems
- Ability to react to and coordinate response to a variety of stressful and crisis situations
- Advanced public relations skills
- Demonstrated effective communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to interact with others in a respectful manner
- Demonstrated high standards of ethical conduct, exhibiting honesty and integrity
- Ability to work out of doors under unfavourable weather conditions
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to staff and student safety at Fanshawe College
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to Fanshawe’s vision, purpose and values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
